OPD

An OPD is a hospital department that serves as the first point of contact for patients and medical employees. When a patient arrives at the hospital for the first time, he is directed to the OPD, which then determines which department the patient should be directed to. In most hospitals, an OPD is located on the ground floor and is organized into many sections, such as a Neurology department, Orthopedics Department, Gynecology department, General Medicine department, and so on. Here, the patient completes all of the necessary paperwork before proceeding to the appropriate department. An OPD is a waiting room where you can locate doctors from all of the hospital’s departments. The doctors here will diagnose you and, if necessary, recommend you to the appropriate departments. If necessary, they may refer you for admittance.
